Started the diet today- There is no perfect day to start but seriously did it have to be the day after Cork won the All Ireland? I had to have a glass of vino or three to celebrate last night... I get the munchies big time the day after having a few but alas did not get any cravings today- Day 3 apparently is the toughest... so I better not get too confident just yet (",)
My first 30 minute intensive weight session was today with Chris. I was really nervous! Afraid I wasn't going to be fit enough, pan out or fall off a machine which totally would be down my street. It couldn't have gone better. Todays session was focusing on the upper body. It was tough but rewarding and Chris fell in helping with the weights when he thought I was under pressure and pushed me when he thought I could manage by myself.
On leaving the gym the muscles in my arms were shaking due to the workout or maybe the shock of them actually being used for the first time in months- so the drive home was fun. Found it extremely hard to turn the wheel of the car I felt like I had no power steering and don't even get me started on the effort it took to change gear... in my head I was giggling thinking where is Chris to fall in and help me now...
Tomorrow is an upper body session. Not sure who is doing the training but I guess that makes it interesting...
